What Are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent, single strands of synthetic lashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied to individual eyelashes, one extension at a time, for a natural look to lengthen and add fullness to the existing lashes. Eyelash Extensions are perfect for special occasions or for day to day wear.

What do they look like and how do they feel?

Eyelash Extensions look and feel completely real- they move with your natural lashes. Each application is customized to suit each individual. Various individual lash lengths are chosen to carefully replicate the shape and frame of a natural lash line. The thickness is determined by the health and thickness of your natural lashes. The overall effect is added curl, thickness and length, opening up the eye for added definition.

How often do I need to get touch ups?

Lashes can last up to two months depending on the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes. With proper care and maintenance, touch-ups are needed once every 2 to 4 weeks to replace and maintain the look. Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles every 60 to 90 days. People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day. With every natural lash on a different cycle, your needed re-lash will vary.

How long does the procedure take?

Depending on the number of lashes being applied, it generally takes between 120 to 150 minutes to apply a full set of Eyelash Extensions. Touch-ups or fills can be done in 60 to 90 minutes.

How are the Lash Extensions Applied?

You will lie comfortably with your eyes closed while a certified stylist individually applies a lash to your own natural eyelashes. A single natural eyelash is isolated and a synthetic lash is glued to the top of your own natural eyelash approximately 1mm from the eyelid so neither the glue or the lash has contact with the skin. There is no discomfort or pain involved in the procedure. In fact, most clients find it is so relaxing that they fall asleep.

What if I want them removed?

As the natural lashes shed, your extensions will shed along with them. However, if requested, they can be professionally removed.  Please don’t try to remove eyelash extensions on your own as damage may occur to the natural lash. Lash removal is $35.

What if I have allergies?

If you have allergies, we advise you to come in before booking an appointment to test our eyelash adhesive on you.I carry both a sensitive and advanced adhesive. However, both are strong enough to ensure effectiveness.

Do eyelash extensions make my own lashes fall out?

No, definatley not this is a myth.  It is important to have your lash extensions applied by a qualified operator who uses to quality product. The eyelash has a cycle and are constantly being replaced like your hair. If you pull so hard on an extension lash and pull out your own natural lash there will be no new lash ready to grow to take its place and you will have to wait 6-8 weeks for that lash to grow.
